4Privacy and security timeline

Events for the Reolink brand. Highlighted entries name this model.

  1. 1 Sep 2026 Test Community test: the Video Doorbell WiFi (firmware v3.0.0.4662) ships with only proprietary port 9000 open; HTTP, RTSP and ONVIF are off and the app is needed to open them. A new device accepts admin with an empty password on that port. Not a cloud upload, but "no app, no cloud" does not hold out of the box.

From user reports (forum, issue tracker), not confirmed by the maker.

  2. 2024 Vulnerability CVE-2024-48644: the Duo 2 login response reveals whether a user name exists, which helps brute-force attacks.

An official source states it for this exact model.

Our own tests (unplug the network, log outbound connections) are not done yet.
